Dr. Mitra is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Mitra graduated from NRS Medical College and Hospital, University of Calcutta in India. She moved to the United States in 2003. Dr. Mitra performed clinical observerships at Bright Futures Pediatrics and hospital based clinics in Michigan. Dr. Mitra completed residency in Pediatrics from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2008. She worked at a large federal health center in MS for eight years. Dr. Mitra went into academia when she mentored medical students and residents prior to moving to Maryland. She joined SGPA in 2017.
